Tuxedo Corset / Smoke Break Pinup
Kept rolling with the fancy corsets and settings. I was going to do more of a ballroom kind of shot with a tuxedo-themed corset, but then I found a great shot of this dilapidated wood staircase and though a smoke break with a cigar would suit it much better.
More Tumblr-inspired images.
I’ve also come up with possibly the best name for a pin-up series/studio. Maybe if I do enough of these I can compile them or something.
So there were a few suggestions for Charlie dressed as Poison Ivy. I had actually already done that, but it was more the comic book Poison Ivy and not the animated, so I don’t think a lot of people even noticed.
Which means now you get animated Poison Ivy!
“Charlie Rabbit”
And she’s done! This was a suggestion for a warm-up sketch that I couldn’t resist and then I wanted to finish it off almost instantly after. I’m a sucker for toon pinup ladies, and Jessica Rabbit is pretty much the queen of toon pinup ladies.
It’s Charlie drawn up from one of my favourite shots of Jessica from the movie. Tried to even pull the colours from the movie.
This is something I’d really like to make a print out of. If I ever do I’ll let y’all know (hopefully a few other people want a print out of it too!). It’s been drawn as a 12x12 inch canvas.
Pirate Girl Pinup!
This is from about a year ago. I think I got creeped out by how much she ended up looking like Maggie and I stopped. Or it might have been another victim of “This was a cool idea in my head and now it doesn’t look good”. That happens a lot.
Yet more corsets. It’s totally not an obsession. (but it is)
I’ve been enjoying the lace and curves and ruffles and pinups of the Charlie hair series and wanted to keep that train rolling. Luckily TheLoveTaco was around and had been drawing Charlie and her girl lately and I felt like returning the favour by drawing her girl in a burlesque setup.
Hopefully I’ll get the chance to make this a finished pic at some point.
